The Allen-Bradley 1794-IRT8 is a Flex I/O combination module. It supports both RTD and thermocouple sensors. This module has eight channels in two groups. Each group has four channels. The 1794-IRT8 offers 14-bit resolution. It provides multiple data formats. These include °C, °F, and °K. You can also use raw counts. Diagnostic functions include open circuit detection. The module detects open inputs within two scans. It has overvoltage capability up to 15V DC. This module works with 24V DC power. It mounts on a DIN rail.

Installation & Maintenance Guide

Install the module on a DIN rail. Connect to a compatible terminal base. Use the recommended wiring. For thermocouples, use wires specified by the manufacturer. For millivolt signals, use Belden 8761 wire. Power the module with 24V DC. The operating temperature is 0 to 55°C. Check LED indicators for status. Replace faulty cold junction compensators as needed.
