Product Procurement & Buyer Guide
The 1766-L32BWA is a compact MicroLogix 1400 controller from Rockwell Automation. It integrates 32 digital I/O points with twelve fast 24V DC inputs. These high-speed inputs handle switching up to 100 kHz. This controller also includes eight normal 24V DC inputs and twelve relay outputs.
Its relay outputs operate with different voltage categories, which makes it flexible for various loads. The 1766-L32BWA communicates through three built-in ports: an isolated RS232/485 combo, a dedicated RS232, and an Ethernet/IP port. It supports DF1, MODBUS RTU, DNP3, and ASCII protocols.

This controller requires 100 to 240 VAC input power and consumes 120 VA. It provides 20 KB of memory for user programs and data. The unit features a built-in real-time clock (RTC) for time-based control applications. You can mount it on a panel or DIN rail.
It expands with up to seven 1762 I/O modules, giving you ample scalability. The LCD backlight helps you configure network settings and monitor I/O status. The 1766-L32BWA also offers online editing capabilities and a web server function.
Use it for machine-level automation, small processes, or substation automation. The Ethernet port enables DNP3 protocol for communicating with intelligent electronic devices. For factory automation, ASCII protocol reads barcode data efficiently.

Key specifications include an operating temperature range of 0-55°C, dimensions 90 x 180 x 87 mm, and weight of 2 lbs. The controller requires a clean, dry environment with Over Voltage Category II circuits.
